Debuting this October, we welcome the autumnal nights with a show full of Queer, Trans and Gender Non-Conforming Comics who will bring all the laughs via standup, music, sketch comedy and other surprises! Introducing Fist & Shout!, an LGBTQ POC focused comedy/variety show, happening every 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7:30 PM! Co-hosted and Co-produced by comedians/performers/babes/besties Marita DeLeon (Intersect Fest, Out & In, Queerz: We're Hilarious!) and Elicia Sanchez (Bumbershoot, Autostraddle, NPR's Latino USA, City Arts Magazine Future List 2016)!
The premiere F&S will showcase the comedic stylings of: Nancy Jean Naly (Bumbershoot) DJ Martinez (Bumbershoot, Queerz: We’re Hilarious!), Mitch Mitchell (Black Laughs Matter, Queerz: We’re Hilarious!) Aila Slisco (Wisecrack, Wine Shots: Comedy’s Happiest Hour) and Garlic Man & Chikn (Marinate, PrideFest)
If you have any Queer and/or Trans friends (bonus points if those friends are People of Color) – and we know you all SAY you do – you know that we are some of the funniest babes around town. Fist & Shout centers QTPOC comics to create a celebratory showcase of all the ways we struggle, survive, and make fools of ourselves on a day to day basis. Come out (get it?) to be around your people and/or support important and necessary voices in our community. This event is 21+ and the venue is wheelchair accessible with an accessible bathroom backstage. Food and beverages (alcoholic and non) will be available through Rendezvous!
